Christian + Rachel both grew up in Washington state but neither of them have ever visited Gold Creek Pond. When I sent over some location suggestions for their engagement session, it was immediately their first pick. And who can blame them? This beautiful location sits just outside Seattle and offers stunning mountain views, lush greenery and calm waters in the summertime. I discovered this location while out trail running one summer in Snoqualmie Pass and said to myself, "this would be an incredible place for photos!" And ever since, I've been bringing couples and families for portrait sessions here.
The day of Christian + Rachel's engagement session, the weather was all over the place. This is very typical of the Pacific Northwest and weather in the mountains in general. The day had rain, storm clouds and sun all in one afternoon but we took our chances and decided to show up and play by ear. We ended up lucking out with gorgeous weather and the perfect amount of cloud cover!
Christian + Rachel are planning an intimate waterfront wedding towards the end of this summer at Wisteria Hollow Estate in Lakebay looking right out to the Puget Sound. Their joy-filled engagement session was just a preview of their big day to come. I cannot wait for their wedding day!
